Background:
Tullos is situated to the south-east of Aberdeen close to Girdleness Lighthouse and the Bay of Nigg. The school catchment area is bounded by Farquhar Road to the north, Redmoss Gardens to the south, St. Fittick's Road to the east and Wellington Road to the west. Construction of the school building began in 1938, but ceased during the Second World. Building was resumed after the hostilities, and the school finally opened in 1950. The original plans were allowed to go ahead, and as a result the school building is spacious with wide corridors and large classrooms which meet all its modern educational needs. The two-storey building has excellent facilities including a large hall with stage, a gymnasium and a well equipped kitchen with servery, which was completely renovated in 1994. Tullos has a full compliment of classrooms, together with a room for specialist subjects including art, drama, music and home economics. .
