Background:
Kaimhill Primary is an officially-designated community school serving the area of Garthdee on the south-western edge of the city of Aberdeen. The present day school opened in April 1981 following the amalgamation on a new site of Garthdee's two existing primary schools, Drumgarth Infant and Inchgarth Primary. The present day buildings were extensively modernised prior to the new school being opened back in 1981 and accommodation today is bright, spacious and well appointed. .
